As a nonprofit business incubator and accelerator, FITCI is here to help companies grow and bring ideas to life.
We understand that every company is different: We make sure we meet each company where they are in their business journey.
FITCI Entrepreneurs are integrated into CEO Roundtables (Strategic Growth and Advisory Boards), led by experienced CEOs. This platform allows members to draw from decades of experience, providing invaluable insights to evolve both personally and professionally.
Members gain access to FITCI's classes and seminars for free, receiving training and preparation before connecting with funding sources. This process ensures that pitches, business models, investment summaries, etc. are meticulously refined.
Beyond mentorship, our advisors, mentors, FITCI team, board, and partners actively facilitate introductions to key individuals and networks essential for business growth.
We emphasize securing initial customers through strategies focused on value proposition, market opportunity, go-to-market plans, and customer discovery, ensuring businesses connect effectively with their target audience.
The Strategic Growth and Advisory Boards are made up of over 40 proven CEO advisors who impart their decades of wisdom to small teams of FITCI members quarterly with insight tailored to meet their specific business needs. As the members grow they move to the next level Strategic Growth and Advisory Board.
StartUp U is a sequence of training to ensure the entrepreneurs business is solid. Most after taking this training have to pivot at some point. The training is taught by very successful CEO’s and the focus is creating a solid Business Model and Value Proposition while proven during customer discovery.
FITCI's accelerator is a community growth accelerator program designed to help entrepreneurs accelerate their ideas and businesses. The 12-week program is an intensive, boot-camp style course aimed at revving the start-up learning curve.
A progression from the CEO Roundtables, @theTop caters to FITCI companies, graduates, and advisors at advanced growth stages. This program features large roundtables and a speaker series, maintaining community connectivity and sharpness for what comes next.
A matchmaking service for our member companies who are in need of a proven C-suite executive leadership. The purpose is to create a successful C-level team for their companies so they can get the traction they need while focusing on what they love doing. We found our member companies get funded quicker and easier when matched with a high level experienced executive who has lead and run companies and/or raised capital.
Similar to Shark Tank, Reality Check puts members in front of investors and judges to pitch their companies for funding. They receive invaluable advice on how to best become “Fundable,” after hours of training and mentoring from other programs.
This committee plays a pivotal role in ensuring that member companies experience a seamless transition from the incubator environment to independent operations within the broader business community in Frederick. Including representatives from state, county, and city economic development sectors, as well as trusted partners ensuring that FITCI graduates are well-prepared and connected for continues success in their industry.
A Board initiative, this committee ensures a safe environment adhering to all necessary compliance across the labs at FITCI's locations through Developing & Enforcing Safety Protocols, Regulatory Compliance Oversight, Routine Safety Audits & Inspections, and Training & Education.
FITCI is dedicated to meeting our member companies where they are, so we pull together CSOs from our members, graduates, and partners for roundtable discussion and advisory.
