On July 29, we were honored to welcome Maryland Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary Ricardo Benn to our facility to learn about how we support local startups and fuel entrepreneurship through strategic partnerships, mentoring, and programming. It was a great opportunity to showcase the vital role incubators play in Maryland’s growing life science and tech economy. |

Frederick County Cell and Gene Therapy Networking
That same day we co-hosted the Children's National Hospital CHARM (Capital Health and Mid-Atlantic Regenerative Medicine) Cell and Gene Therapy Quarterly Meet-up! We heard from the Deputy Secretary, who emphasized how critical it is to coordinate state resources with local initiatives to drive growth in vital sectors such as life sciences and technology. Participants learned about growing CGT businesses in Frederick County and networked with fellow entrepreneurs and biotech scientists. |

CELLS Offering Hands-On Science Workshops
CELLS (Community Enrichment Laboratory for Learning Sciences) is hosting several classes at our Metropolitan Ct location for curious learners of all ages. Class topics so far include micro-pipetting and gel electrophoresis. They also host open lab hours that learners can RSVP for and come in to complete hands-on activities. It’s a great way to keep young minds active and engaged during summer break! More information on classes |
